Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information VenèMake collects when you use venemake.co.uk, why, and your rights. If you have any questions, email contact@venemake.co.uk.

What we collect

• Order details: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if given) and what you ordered.
• Your designs: the designs you create and the photos and files you upload, so we can print your order and you can reorder later.
• Account details: if you create an account – your login email, saved designs and order history.
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email.
• Payment: payments are handled by our payment provider. We don’t see or store your full card details.
• Technical data: basic information your browser sends (such as IP address) in server logs for security, and the cookies described below.

Why we use it

• To make, deliver and support your order (to perform our contract with you).
• To keep records for tax and accounting (legal obligation).
• To keep the site secure and prevent fraud, and – once after an order – to ask whether you’d like to leave a review (our legitimate interests). You can tell us not to send it.
• We don’t sell your information and we don’t send marketing emails unless you have agreed to receive them.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the shop: our website host, our payment provider, our delivery partner (your name and address) and our email service. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

• Order records: 6 years, for tax and accounting.
• Designs and uploads for an order: up to 2 years, so you can reorder. Designs saved in your account: until you delete them or close your account.
• Contact messages: up to 2 years.

Cookies

We use cookies that the shop needs to work – for example to remember your basket, keep you logged in and save your design while you work. We don’t use advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing contact@venemake.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
